ENSInet Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- I can't login and I don't remember my User ID, what do I do?
If you can't remember your User ID and you have been set up to use ENSInet, simply e-mail your request to help@ensinet.com. Make sure to include your full name, e-mail address and daytime phone number, your financial institution Name, and your sales manager/supervisor name. Requests submitted via e-mail are generally returned within 24 hours.
- I am a client with Investment accounts though ENSI and need help with my investments or would like to view them online, what do I do?
You must contact your representative with your financial institution. ENSI can't support individual client requests, which must be handled by registered financial institution representatives. If you are unsure who to contact at your financial institution, representatives at their general service line will be able to assist you.
- I am a new representative (or am just starting with my financial institution) and need a log in to ENSInet, who do I contact?
Simply contact your sales manager for assistance who will forward you your log in information.
- I have a log in, I am using the correct User ID and passphrase, but I can't log in to ENSInet, what do I do?
- Be sure your User ID and password are correct. If you are unsure, you can have it reset by contacting us the ENSI service desk.
- If you are a new rep or just had your password reset, you may need to change your password on your first log in attempt. This may be blocked if you have a pop-up blocker enabled; try disabling your pop-up blocker (refer to your browser help) or adding ensinet.com to your safe sites list and log in again.
- If your User ID comes up automatically because you have saved it using a password tool or in your browser, try re-typing your password over the existing entry to make sure it is correct. Also, for security, you should not enable password remembering for ENSI, but should also type it in.
- If you receive some other error, you may wish to clear your browser cache, cookies, and history (refer to your browser help for this), close all instances (windows) of your browser, and try to log in again.
- Why does ENSI display 'Passphrase' instead of 'Password'? Are they the same/How are they different?
A passphrase can be the same as your password; if you already have a password it is the same.
We'd like to encourage all users to increase their security, however, by using phrases instead of a simple password. For example, using your child's name (or a variant) as a password is generally a bad idea, because it is easily guessable. However, changing it to a passphrase can be more secure, easier to remember for you, and harder to guess for someone else. If your child's name is Dave, instead of using a bad password like 'Dav3', you might change it to a good passphrase like 'Dave hit 3 home runs!'.
